Eclipse Consulting

Eclipse is an open source community, whose projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools and runtimes for building, deploying and managing software across the lifcycle. A large and vibrant ecosystem of major technology vendors, innovative start-ups, universities, research institutions and individuals extend, complement and support the Eclipse platform. The Eclipse project not only aims to be an extensive development environment but also serves as a base for own applications.

Guinaree Solution also supports the Eclipse Foundation . One of our main projects, JFire , is completely integrated into the RCP. Consequently, we were able to gain experience in the field of Eclipse RCP and also with far more Eclipse projects. We can offer you to build small plug-ins for the IDE as well as whole Eclipse applications with extension points. Furthermore, we do the integration of several Eclipse technologies (e.g. GEF or BIRT ) as well as the communication with a J2EE server.

RCP consulting and software development:

We supply your RCP projects in all phases, from planning to deployment.

  • Conception and architecture
In cooperation with your company we can work out the best structure regarding future extensibility and reusability. In this connection we usually follow the Eclipse way by modelling interfaces with Eclipse services and extension points.
  • Qualification for the employees
The RCP is a new technology and even experienced java developers turn out to be grateful for a compact, goal-oriented and understandable briefing. Guinaree Solution helps you to get an easy access into the system in order to get your own plug-ins and other Eclipse extensions developed. Therefore, we offer basic Eclipse workshops or project-oriented coaching.
  • Communicating with J2EE servers
The right mounting for a server gateway is essential for every client-server-system. We can help you with the integration and the effective use of JavaEE (e.g. caching or remote class loading).
  • Integrating other Eclipse projects
Besides the RCP, many other projects have originated from Eclipse. We have already been using and integrating many of them and have helped other companies to do the same (e.g.  BIRT , GEF or EMF ).
